The Pythilo guide
Everything the app does, screen by screen, in the words the app uses. If something here does not match what you see, the app is right and this page is out of date: please tell us.
Pythilo has four tabs at the bottom of the screen: Projects, Learn, Labs and Playground. A project opens as a full-screen workspace with the editor, the terminal and the other panels. Settings is the gear on the Projects screen.
Start
Projects and files
Make, clone and import projects, templates, the file drawer and where files live.
The editor and the key bar
Typing code on glass: the key bar, completion, problems, tabs and keyboard shortcuts.
Run, stop and debug
Run a file, answer input(), stop anything, and step through code with breakpoints.
Tools
The terminal
A small bash with pipes and redirects, about 60 commands, framework chips, history and Ctrl-C.
Packages, PyTorch and Core ML
pip per project, everything bundled, npm with esbuild, PyTorch and pythilo.coreml.
Web servers and the preview
Django, Flask, FastAPI and Starlette on the device, Open site, migrations and the preview.
SQLite
Browse, filter and edit tables with a tap, run SQL, and the sqlite3 shell in the terminal.
Git
A real .git folder: changes, commits, branches, merge, rebase, clone and HTTPS tokens.
Notebooks
Open and save .ipynb files, run cells, rich output and what is not Jupyter.
